Offline use is one of the goal when starting TeamViz. On desktop computers, including Windows, Mac OS X and Ubuntu, once you created your account and logged in, then for the rest of the other time, you can use it offline. On mobile devices, including Android and iPhone, you don’t need to create an account before using TeamViz.
As the result of support multiple devices and platforms, synchronization is a must. Currently all the devices can sync to TeamViz data center in cloud. So you can get consistent data across all your computers and mobile devices.
Your data is encrypted before sending to TeamViz data center. The encryption key is based on your password and other random numbers. That is, only the person with your password can decrypt your data. If you input wrong password, the data will not be decrypted. So password cannot be reset, and if you lose your password, you have to create a new account. The digest of the password is saved on server for the purpose of validation, the text of password is never saved. That is, TeamViz server cannot decrypt your data also. Consequently, TeamViz server cannot resolve conflicts of the changes. We just simply overwrite the previous record.
